The St. James Service Club periodically receives requests from local nonprofits when volunteers are needed for “boots on the ground”. The following opportunities are currently available:
SOIICF - provides food to those in need in Brunswick County (dry goods, produce, dairy, meats)
SOIICF Food Pantry in Boiling Springs has an immediate need for Thanksgiving “fixings”, everything but the Turkey.
Hope Harbor - serves victims of domestic abuse
Meal Train for Wednesday’s Empowerment Night
Drivers to transport meals on Wednesday nights
Power Walking Ministry - making sure every student has new tennis shows and socks
Shoe packing and delivery - December 6th @ 6PM
Sneaker and/or sock donations
Tutoring
Southport Elementary School
Bolivia Elementary School
Lower Cape Fear LifeCare - providing access to quality LifeCare, education and support for patients and their families
Companion sitter (no hands-on care)
