Annual Volunteer Fair: Learn all about the Club’s upcoming events and maybe even get involved!

Compile the toiletries we collected into individual bags for distribution to the homeless.

Join the St. James Service Club in helping our local students start the new school year prepared for class. From July 15-26, the St. James Service Club will collect school supplies for students in all grade levels to be distributed by Communities in Schools, Brunswick Family Assistance, and Hope Harbor Home.

The St. James Service Club’s annual holiday festival! Tickets are $25 and include:

  • Admission to the tree lighting, reception, and concert on Wednesday evening,
  • The reception at Members Club on Thursday, and
  • The Holiday Festival at the Community Center on Thursday and Friday.

Ticket sales begin Wednesday, October 11 at the Service Club General Membership Meeting at the Community Center beginning at 9:30 am.

Third Grade Book Drive

Did you know that third grade is a pivotal point in a child's learning? In third grade, children transition from Learning to Read to Reading to Learn.

The Service Club's inaugural Third Grade Book Drive strives to collect one book for every third grade student in our part of Brunswick County: Southport, Bolivia, Virginia Williamson, and Supply Elementary Schools.

Learn more and help us help the third graders in Brunswick County.

General Membership Meeting and Volunteer Fair

Our September 13th meeting is our annual volunteer fair. You’ll have an opportunity to learn about all that we do both in front of and behind the scenes.

In addition, we have guest speaker Lynn Dutney, past SJSC president and current Executive Director of the Southport Oak Island Interchurch Fellowship Food Pantry (SOIICF), will share her journey from SJSC member to Executive Director of one of our supported non-profits.
