3rd Grade Book Drive

March 1st - April 30th, 2026

Did you know that third grade is a pivotal point in a child's learning? In third grade, children transition from Learning to Read to Reading to Learn.

Help us reach our goal. The St. James Service Club's Third Grade Book Drive is on a mission to collect just over 1,000 brand new books - one for every third grade student in Brunswick County!

Help us help these students succeed one book at a time!

Curated book list

We’ve curated a special Amazon Wish List to make purchasing books easier than ever.

We kindly ask that you only purchase books from this curated list.

When you shop the Amazon Wish List for books, your donations will ship directly to project co-chair, Susan Lambeth, for distribution —no extra steps required.

Ways to make a monetary DONATION

Financial donations are an easy and effective way to contribute to the literacy of these students.  These financial contributions will be used to purchase additional books.

Any additional amount made as a donation is very much appreciated!

There are two options for your convenience.

By CHECK

Checks made payable to “St James Service Club” may be dropped off or mailed to project chair, Barbara Ibert 4323 Loblolly Circle.

Book Drive Challenge Issued to All St. James Book Clubs

No one understands the power of a great book better than the many book clubs here in St. James. This is why we're inviting you to join our 3rd Grade Book Drive Challenge!

We're throwing down the gauntlet to see which book club will lead the charge! Whether you’re clearing our Amazon Wish List of pre-approved titles or making a monetary donation, every contribution counts!

The winning book club will get bragging rights as well as another special surprise!

Be sure to credit your book club when placing your Amazon order or in the memo section of your check so we can track your club's contribution.

Does your book club have what it takes to pick up the gauntlet and be named "Top of the Stacks"?
