Flocking Season Returns so Let’s Get Flocked!

As the warmer weather arrives, the popular flocks of pink flamingos will once again grace the yards of St. James, courtesy of the St. James Service Club’s annual Flocking fundraiser. This year’s event is coordinated by Kathy Paske who will be organizing the placement of these cheerful flamingos throughout the community.

Occasions to “flock” someone include service to the community, birthdays, anniversaries, illness recoveries, or just because. It is sure to bring joy to the recipients and smiles to passersby.

Flocking Dates

Flocking begins on Friday, February 13, 2026 and runs through Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

How Flocking Works

Residents can participate by ordering a flock of flamingos to be placed in a conspicuous yet safe area of their yard. The flamingos will be set up by 9am on the selected day and will remain for 24 hours before being picked up the next morning, ready to “fly” to another home.

Flocks are available at the following rates:

  • $25 for ONE flock
  • $45 for TWO flocks
  • $70 for THREE flocks
