St. James Service Club Sponsors 19th Annual Food Drive

From February 1-28, the Saint James Service Club will partner with Full Shelf to bolster food supplies at the Southport-Oak Island Interchurch Fellowship’s Food Pantry. February is an important month for the pantry because donations fall off after the holidays.

The pantry is in particular need of these food items:

  • Canned Fruit

  • Applesauce

  • Cereal

  • Pudding

  • Jello

  • Canned Vegetables and Beans (other than green beans, corn & peas)

  • Canned Chicken

  • Canned Soup

  • Ramen and

  • Peanut Butter

However, donations of all unexpired, unperishable items are greatly appreciated.

Donations may be dropped off in the bins at any of the Troon clubhouses and fitness centers, as well as the Community Center and the seven Full Shelf locations, listed below.

Monetary contributions are greatly appreciated because they allow the pantry to purchase perishable items for their constituents.

Checks made payable to “Saint James Service Club” may be mailed to:

Suite 14, PMB 146

Please indicate “Food Drive” on the check.
