WAVES 4 K.I.D.S. Appreciates St. James

Hi Jeff and St James Service Club Grants Committee Members,
On Sunday, July 30, WAVES 4 K.I.D.S. Board Members and Brunswick County Social Workers stuffed over 200 high quality backpacks with school supplies. When we were finished, two vans and a pickup truck carried the backpacks to the county offices in Bolivia where they will be distributed to children under the care of the Social Services. It costs over $300 to purchase and fill just one quality backpack with the supplies required for a child enrolled in a Brunswick County public school. WAVES 4 K.I.D.S. is very grateful for the grant we received from the St James Service Club. The grant helps us help kids in difficult situations begin the school year with a high quality backpack stuffed with all the supplies needed to begin their school year.
Attached is a photo taken on July 30 of our volunteers in front of the two vans stuffed with backpacks.
THANK YOU!
